As a seasoned PC gamer with a library of games spanning several decades, I must admit that the storage requirements for God of War Ragnarok have left me a bit flabbergasted. With my current SSD barely scraping by at 250GB, it seems I’ll need to upgrade to accommodate this Norse epic.
Sony unveiled the system requirements for God of War Ragnarok on PC, and although these specifications appear suitable for the game, the space needed to run it is surprisingly large.
The PC edition of God of War Ragnarok requires approximately 190GB of space in your computer’s storage, which is more than double the size needed for PS4 (84GB) and almost as much as PS5 (106.9GB). For the graphics card, a minimum of an NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 5500 XT is recommended. For the processor, you’ll need at least an Intel i5-4670k or AMD Ryzen 3 1200. Additionally, your computer should have a minimum of 8GB of RAM to run this game smoothly.
For top-tier graphics cards, consider the NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti or AMD RX 7900 XT. If you’re focusing on high-end processors, look into the Intel i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X. To complement these components, make sure to have at least 16GB of RAM in your system.
