Glenn Close and Her Cat Bite Back at JD Vance’s ‘Childless’ Comments

As a proud member of the cat-loving, childless community, I can’t help but cheer for Glenn Close and her fierce defense against JD Vance’s careless remarks. With a career spanning over four decades, Close has proven time and again that she’s not one to back down from a fight, especially when it comes to standing up for women’s rights and the love we have for our feline companions.

Avoid provoking cat-loving women if you don’t want to face their wrath. In the movie “Hillbilly Elegy,” Glenn Close, who portrayed JD Vance’s fictional grandmother, seems to have taken offense at JD Vance’s remarks about “childless cat ladies.” On Sunday, she posted a picture of her feline companion on Instagram with the caption: “Eve would have left a bloody mouse head in the bed of anyone who criticized any kind of lady with a CAT!” Close’s cat appears to be as menacing as any Godfather; look at those piercing eyes! She means business. As another cute cat would say, “Ladies may not initiate fights, but they can certainly end them!” Earlier this month, Close also shared a meme criticizing Vance’s stance on reproductive rights, once again referencing her cat comments.

As a supporter, I’ve noticed that Vance has faced backlash following his comments about childless cat ladies, with Jennifer Aniston being one of many who have spoken up against his views and policies regarding reproductive health. In a heartfelt post in July, she expressed her hope that his daughter wouldn’t require infertility treatments like IVF due to the restrictions he advocates for. It seems that when it comes to this issue, there is no anger quite like that of a cat lady who feels threatened.
