As a movie lover with a penchant for spotting hidden gems and underrated talents, I am thrilled to see the cast of the upcoming Hulu comedy series “Chad Powers.” With an impressive lineup of experienced actors like Clayne Crawford, Toby Huss, Colton Ryan, and Xavier Mills joining Glen Powell, this show promises a delightful blend of established talent and fresh faces.
Glen Powell‘s upcoming Hulu comedy series “Chad Powers” has added four recurring guest stars.
It’s been confirmed that Clayne Crawford, Toby Huss, Colton Ryan, and Xavier Mills have signed up for the series, alongside Powell who will portray the main character and co-create it. The ensemble also features Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny, and Steve Zahn as Jake Hudson.
“Russ Holliday (Powell), whose college football career was wrecked by misbehavior, assumes a new identity and joins a struggling Southern team as the charming, gifted Chad Powers. This character, created by Eli Manning, is the focus of his ESPN+ docuseries ‘Eli’s Places’.
In the upcoming role, Crawford will take on Coach Dobbs. Notably, he has previously starred in movies such as “Finestkind” and “The King Tide,” and also made appearances on TV shows like “Rectify” and “Lethal Weapon.” His agency representation includes Gersh, Principal Entertainment LA, and Yorn/Levine.
In the upcoming role, Mike Holliday will be portrayed by Huss, a versatile actor recognized for his performances in series such as “Halt and Catch Fire,” “King of the Hill,” “Dickinson,” and “Carnivale.” He has also made appearances in movies like “Cop Shop,” “Maxxxine,” “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story,” and “Halloween.” Huss is represented by IAG and Artists First.
Ryan takes on the character of “Gerry.” Lately, he’s been recognized with nominations for prestigious awards such as the Tony, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle, all thanks to his remarkable performance in the Broadway musical “New York, New York.” You might have also seen him in TV shows like “Poker Face” and “The Girl From Plainville,” or in movies like “Dear Evan Hansen.” He is represented by Gersh and TFC Management.
In the upcoming performance, Nishan will be acted out by Mills. At present, he’s starring in the movie “The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat.” Some of his recent roles can be spotted on series like “Legacies,” “Interview with the Vampire,” “Ordinary Joe,” and “Genius: MLK/X.” He is represented by Alexander White Agency and Authentic Talent & Literary Management.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Chad Powers series was co-created by none other than Chad Powell and Michael Waldron, with both of them contributing to the pilot script as well. They’re not only the masterminds behind the concept but also serve as executive producers. Manning is joining us as an executive producer, along with his brother Peyton Manning through Omaha Productions. Additionally, Jamie Horowitz and Ben Brown will be part of the team.
