Paramount Global has announced the lineup for its 2025 CBS Showcase, an annual live event that will be hosted by former program stars Sheila Carrasco and Punam Patel from “Ghosts.” This event, happening on March 13th, celebrates the 20th anniversary of this initiative. The Showcase originally started back in 2006 as a comedic sketch show but later transformed into a live stand-up charity event to spotlight budding talents.
This year’s lineup of highlighted comedians features Niles Abston, Sophie Buddle, Nico Carney, Fabrizio Copano, Tina Friml, Leslie Liao, Ever Mainard, and Andrew Orolfo.

For the past two decades, ‘Showcase’ has been instrumental in introducing and boosting emerging comedic talents,” stated CBS’ Claudia Lyon (senior executive of talent and casting) and Dorey Poder (senior executive of talent and casting) collectively. “We are convinced that this handpicked group of eight gifted storytellers signify the promising future of comedy, and we can’t wait to see their remarkable abilities flourish.
This year’s gathering is aimed at supporting The Entertainment Fund, a nationwide charity dedicated to helping artists and entertainers, as well as offering immediate financial aid to those affected by the California wildfires.
At the 2018 event and the 2016 occasion, it was Carrasco and Patel who took part in the festival together.
Past versions of “CBS Showcase” have been recognized at various film festivals such as Outfest, Dances with Films, Salute Your Shorts, and the San Diego International Film Festival. The “Showcase” is managed by the CBS Talent and Casting team in collaboration with Paramount’s Department of Global Inclusion.
