The follow-up to “Ghost of Tsushima” now has an announced release date, as evidenced by the latest trailer from Sucker Punch Productions that offers insight into the storyline of the forthcoming game titled “Ghost of Yotei.
The narrative unfolds as the Yotei Six, a band of ruthless outlaws, launch an assault, claiming Atsu’s entire family but sparing her own life. Years pass and our heroine, now more formidable, wiser, and bearing a legendary sword rumored to end one’s life, embarks on a journey back to her homeland. Her sole purpose? To seek vengeance for the loss of her dear ones.
The official launch date of this game is scheduled for October 2, 2025, but it’s important to note that at the moment, a release date for the PC version has not been officially announced by the developer or Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The trailer additionally displayed a snippet of gameplay that aims to enhance the beloved mechanic from Ghost of Tsushima. Beyond the six characters already mentioned, the region surrounding the main mountain will be teeming with various adversaries and sword experts who can help Atsu learn new abilities. The player will have the freedom to choose their destination and whom they’ll follow on their journey.
Sony additionally unveiled details about the game, including pre-order incentives available from May 2nd, contents of the deluxe edition (which includes digital extras), prices for both versions, and what’s more, they announced a collector’s edition as well. This special edition features in-game advantages along with tangible goods like a map, an ornamental mask, and a bag, priced at $79.99. Series enthusiasts might also take interest in the collector’s edition.
