Right now, Sucker Punch is totally focused on the Ghost of Yotei update, which is awesome. But I’m already wondering what they’ll work on *after* that. What game will they make next after finishing up with Atsu’s story? It’s got me thinking!
After the release of the ‘Legends’ expansion (scheduled for 2026), the company will determine their next project. The developer, known for the ‘Ghost,’ ‘Sly Cooper,’ and ‘InFamous’ series, likely plans to continue working on one of these established franchises, as hinted by Sucker Punch co-founder Brian Fleming in a recent VGC interview.
Ultimately, whether we continue working on *Ghost* or return to *Sly*, our biggest constraint is wanting to dedicate enough time and attention to do one project well at a time. We really need to focus on one thing at a time to make it the best it can be.
It appears the studio will likely release only one game in the coming years. Fans of the franchises that may be discontinued might be disappointed by this decision, unless the studio grows and is able to work on multiple games simultaneously.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sucker Punch announced something totally new – a game world we’ve never seen from them before. They’ve got some tough decisions to make about what to do next, and I doubt we’ll find out what those are anytime soon.
