Sony has announced that the game “Ghost of Yotei” will be released on October 2nd for PS5, and there will be three different versions available. Starting on May 2nd at 10 AM ET, pre-orders for two physical editions of the game, including a special Collector’s Edition only available through PlayStation Direct, will become available. Each pre-order comes with several bonus DLC items.
If you’re eager to experience the original game before the upcoming release of Ghost of Yotei, consider purchasing Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut at a discounted price of $49.49 (originally $70) right now. Keep in mind that Ghost of Yotei is set over 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima, so it’s not strictly necessary to have played the first game from Sucker Punch Productions’ action series. However, playing Ghost of Tsushima will give you a good sense of what to anticipate from Yotei. Although the characters are entirely new, the storyline and themes should feel quite familiar. As always, you’ll be on a quest for revenge, taking on the role of “The Ghost.
Ghost of Yotei Preorder Bonuses
Purchasing any version of Ghost of Yotei grants you access to an exclusive in-game mask, along with seven PlayStation Network avatars. These avatars showcase design sketches of the game’s characters such as Atsu and the infamous Yotei Six. At this time, it is undetermined if there will be any special preorder bonuses available only at specific retailers.
