Original news (May 8th)

I’m super excited about the imminent digital release of the Gex Trilogy on June 16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, the PS4 version has been scrapped. For those who prefer a physical copy or have a soft spot for the past, pre-orders for the boxed edition kick off tomorrow, but shipping might take a bit. Can’t wait to relive these classic adventures!

Several sets have been prepared:

  1. The Standard Edition includes a Steam key or a physical version of the game on a disc or cartridge, along with a cover and leaflet. Its cost is 39.99 bucks.
  2. As part of the Classic Edition, we will also receive a steelbook, a double-sided poster (with dimensions of approximately 31 by 41 cm) featuring the charming face of the main character, a collection of soundtracks on a CD, and a retro-style box. For this pleasure, we will have to pay $74.99.
  3. Tail Time Edition is a truly collector’s set. It includes everything from the two previous editions, except for the soundtrack CD. It also comes with a 7-inch figurine, a 36-inch inflatable Gex mascot, playing cards, a TV remote-shaped pin, and a box with artwork by Japanese artist Yoshitaka Amano. The set will cost 199.99 dollars.

The presale concludes on July 6th. The trilogy is not just a retelling of the initial escapades of our skilled chameleon. It’s been revamped with fresh content, such as new gameplay elements, outfits, and even characters you can control.
