Get Ready: Nintendo Switch 2 Direct Could Drop Sooner Than You Think!

In approximately two weeks, we’re anticipating the release of the Nintendo Switch 2. There are whispers of an upcoming Nintendo Direct announcement. The last comprehensive Direct, centered around the Switch 2 reveal, happened in early April, followed by another Direct on April 17, focusing on Mario Kart World.

As reported by journalist Pedro Henrique Lutti Lippe during his recent livestream, there might be another Nintendo Direct event happening near the release date of the console on June 5th (as per VGC).

According to some reports, there’s speculation that a Nintendo Direct might take place either this week or the next. Details about what might be unveiled during the event are still unknown. Whether this rumored Nintendo Direct actually occurs remains uncertain, but given the credibility of the source and Nintendo’s past tendencies in scheduling their presentations, it appears likely that it will happen.

How Credible Is This Leak?

Nothing Is Concrete, But It Seems Likely

Previously, Lippe disseminated reliable details about Nintendo’s future strategies. He was spot-on when he predicted that the Switch 2 would be unveiled in the year 2025, contradicting several whispers and speculations suggesting a late 2024 debut. Notably, since 2011, Nintendo has held at least one Direct event in June nearly every year. As for what might be displayed during this event, that remains unknown. However, given the impending release of the new console, it could possibly center around the Switch 2’s hardware specifications, another installment of Mario Kart, or Donkey Kong Bananza, which is set to launch on July 11.

As a dedicated gamer and proud owner of a Nintendo Switch, I’m eagerly awaiting several upcoming games this year, like “Metroid Prime 4: Beyond” and “Pokémon Legends: Z-A,” for which the release dates are yet to be confirmed. There’s even a chance that we might see some exciting live streams in June. You know, just like the Nintendo Direct event that graced our screens on April 12, 2017, less than a month after the Switch’s initial launch, which showcased various projects. So, fingers crossed for more updates soon!

A Direct Near Nintendo Switch 2’s Launch Makes Sense

Another Opportunity To Show Why Fans Should Buy The Switch 2

It isn’t surprising if Nintendo were to host a livestream event close to the launch of their new console, given their past practices. In fact, it seems almost inevitable at this stage. However, as of now, there’s no confirmation about any upcoming Nintendo Direct.

The announcement of the Switch 2 was met with quite a bit of debate, particularly concerning the pricing of the console and certain games. Despite the console being set to launch in just 10 days, we still don’t have many details about Nintendo’s vision for the Switch 2 beyond their game release strategy for 2025.

Additionally, it’s important to mention that Summer Game Fest is just about here, with an Xbox Showcase set for June 8. There are even whispers of a PlayStation State of Play happening soon as well. Regardless of whether we get a Nintendo Direct or not, the anticipation for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 is definitely increasing.
