As someone who’s spent countless hours watching the silver screen and admiring the elegance of Aston Martins, I must say that Monday at the Venetian Arsenale was nothing short of a dream come true. The glitz, the glamour, and the gathering of some of my favorite stars under one roof was an experience I’ll cherish forever.
On Monday, it’s likely that Lido experienced a profound sense of vacancy, given that some of the world’s most illustrious celebrities gathered at the iconic Venetian Arsenale for the dazzling debut of Aston Martin’s Vanquish.
At an exquisitely glamorous, intimate event, actors George Clooney from the show “Wolfs,” Daniel Craig known for “Queer,” Kevin Costner, director and star of “Horizon 2,” Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Douglas, and Joel Edgerton gathered together.
Renowned costume designer Sandy Powell, along with model and actor Poppy Delevingne and Dominic Cooper, were also seen. Raffey Cassidy continues to bask in the glory of “The Brutalist,” a film by Brady Corbet that was Corbet’s primary competition entry and received an astonishing 12-minute long standing ovation. Its star, Adrien Brody, was also present at the event.
Under the glow of the lights and nestled beside the tranquil lagoon, the latest V12 luxury model made its grand debut, with Formula One racers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll unveiling it.
“Lawrence Stroll, the executive chairman, unveiled what the future of Aston Martin will be like, playfully jabbing at our rivals. The reason for being in Venice? To outdo the local teams. There’s a red team, I can’t seem to recall their name right now.”

“Approximately every two weeks, a fresh name surfaces, sparking lots of talk about who’ll be the next James Bond. As we work on upgrading our product, we’re eagerly anticipating the arrival of a new character,” Bisignani said with a chuckle, referring to Vanquish as a “masterpiece.”
“For us, it’s a masterpiece.”
Once the formal segment ended for the night, celebrities carried on socializing and enjoying themselves amidst the balmy evening, leisurely savoring Bellinis at a distance that kept them hidden from their adoring fans and persistent Italian photographers.
“Before taking the stage, Masego, a Grammy-nominated musician, shared with EbMaster that he engages with people and spends time outdoors, making these interactions part of his performance. So, whoever he spoke to on that day essentially became his show, suggesting that it might have been one of his most memorable performances yet.”
