Over the past weekend, there was an initial multiplayer beta testing for Gears of War Reloaded. The next round of tests will occur this coming weekend. Importantly, the developers of the game want players to be aware that they’ve taken feedback from the first test into account and have extended the duration as well as increased the available options during the second weekend.
On their social media platforms, developers at The Coalition, responsible for Gears of War Reloaded, have announced modifications. The initial time, set for June 20 at 12 PM Pacific Time / 3 PM Eastern Time, remains unchanged; however, the testing duration has been extended by a substantial nine hours, now concluding on Sunday, June 22 at 9 PM Pacific Time, which equates to June 23 at 12 AM Eastern Time.
As a gamer, I’ve got some exciting news for you! You asked for more, and we’re delivering: new maps, fresh game modes, and even more time to enjoy it all! The Multiplayer Beta has been extended, so get ready to dive into not just King of the Hill (KOTH), but also a brand-new mode called Execution. Let the gaming begin!

The post mentions that Execution is now included in the beta, along with King of the Hill on Gridlock. Additionally, Raven Down (in both Courtyard and War Machine) and Canals have been added as well. You can choose between Team Deathmatch and Gold Rush modes too.
The revamped version of the 2006 classic, Gears of War: Reloaded, is actually its second remaster. It incorporates all additional content that was released following the launch of the original remaster, titled Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Notably, Microsoft has been providing complimentary upgrades for this new version to those who already own Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.
On August 28, Microsoft plans to release Gears of War: Reloaded on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. This version will enable cross-platform play and progression for the first time in a Gears of War game on a PlayStation system. However, it remains unconfirmed if the upcoming game, Gears of War: E-Day, scheduled for release in 2026 as part of Xbox’s 25th anniversary, will also support cross-platform play when it debuts.
