The development team at People Can Fly, based in Poland, has disclosed significant shifts, such as putting a hold on two ongoing projects and forthcoming job cuts.
As a devoted fan, I find myself sharing the latest update from People Can Fly regarding their projects: Project Gemini and Project Bitfrost. Sadly, it appears Project Gemini is on hold because of our game’s publisher, who remains unnamed, failing to deliver essential materials needed for development. Additionally, there seems to be a stalemate in our dialogue that has hindered the game’s progression.
As a gamer, I haven’t received any details yet from the game publisher about the next content update for Project Gemini, which is part of our publishing agreement. There’s been no word on whether they plan to continue or cancel the Gemini project, leaving me in the dark.
Project Bitfrost has been put on hold for the same reason stated earlier, with its developer remaining unidentified. Moreover, People Can Fly have announced that they are halting work on this game because an examination of their financial situation revealed insufficient prospects for acquiring the necessary resources and funds to keep producing and releasing this project.
As a gamer, I’d put it this way: “Due to these suspensions, we at People Can Fly are forced to reorganize as a team on a larger scale and reduce our workforce. This is particularly painful because we value each member of our gaming family.
CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski conveyed his heartfelt sorrow and disappointment about the way things have transpired, as well as his genuine appreciation for every individual’s efforts so far.
Based on People Can Fly’s declaration in December 2024, they opted to downsize their development team for Project Bitfrost and mentioned that it would no longer debut as an early-access title in 2026. The project has been underway with a smaller team up until the present moment.
Concurrently, People Can Fly announced a halt in the progress of another project, titled Project Victoria. Nevertheless, amidst these terminations, People Can Fly is pushing ahead with Project Echo, a fresh collaboration with Krafton, as well as Project Delta, a joint effort with Sony, and Gears of War: E-Day, a continued partnership with Microsoft.
