The humorous cooking contest, “Gastronauts,” has been given the green light for a second season on independent streaming platform Dropout.
Under the guidance of regular performer and beloved figure at Dropout, Jordan Myrick, the program presents a varying lineup of three comedians in every installment. These comedians set unique, absurd cooking tasks for the chefs participating in that particular episode.
In Season 2, a number of fresh chefs are participating in the competition, including Amanda Palomino (from “Chopped” and “Hell’s Kitchen”), Saransh Oberoi (“Beat Bobby Flay”), Christina Xenos (“Chopped”), and Joi Fowler (“Masterchef”).
Throughout the season, we have guest comedians taking on the role of judges: Cameron Esposito, Paul F. Thompkins, Emily Axford, Siobhan Thompson, Katie Marovitch, Erika Ishii, and Scott Aukerman.

Filming for “Gastronauts” Season 2 came to an end this week, with the episodes set to debut on Dropout TV this coming summer.
“Gastronauts” is overseen by host and creator Myrick, with Justin Cyrul serving as the producer and Morgan Evans directing episodes for Season 2. Courtney McBroom plays a role in culinary production, while Meagan Stockemer handles director of photography duties, Caitlin Williams designs the sets, Denise Valentine manages hair and makeup, Chealsea Robbins takes charge of costumes, and Mingge Lin supervises sound.
In October 2024, the initial season of “Gastronauts” premiered on the streaming platform Dropout. This unscripted show is one of many new programs that have been introduced to the platform over the last year. As Dropout (formerly known as CollegeHumor, which rebranded in 2023) continues to grow, it’s adding more shows to its roster, such as “Game Changer,” “Make Some Noise,” “Very Important People,” and the table-top role-playing series “Dimension 20.” Other new additions to their lineup include “Smartypants,” “Thousandaires,” and “Monét’s Slumber Party.
