As an avid fan, I’m excited about the launch of Remedy’s latest creation, FBC: Firebreak, available now on consoles and PC. Despite the thrill, it seems the debut wasn’t flawless. There appears to be a substantial matchmaking problem that’s causing trouble for some gamers, according to Remedy themselves.
In a social media update, Remedy acknowledged a problem that’s preventing many players from forming teams, leading to individuals playing on their own. The game Firebreak is designed for multiplayer action.
According to Remedy, they are currently developing a quick fix for the current problem, anticipating it to be available on Steam today, June 17. They aim to roll out the solution on other platforms as soon as they can. It’s worth mentioning that this update will already provide substantial improvement in cross-platform matchmaking for all players.
At present, Remedy recommends that players attempt to join games by selecting Quick Play. This option is designed to connect you with other active users. As an alternative, Remedy suggests that three players can form a party using the Party Code feature and enter together as a team.
“Thank you for your understanding,” the developer said.
Additionally, Mike Kayatta, the director of FBC, expressed a touching message commemorating the game’s release. He stated, “For quite some time, our dedicated team has been tirelessly creating a game that we ourselves would enjoy playing with our companions. The result of this labor is a product born out of enthusiasm and determination that we are thrilled to unveil to the global community.
Kyatta continued by explaining that Remedy isn’t rejoicing due to wrapping up FBC, but rather because “now we can begin.
With Firebreak now accessible to you and all those eager to join us, Kyatta announced that our community doors are wide open. By collaborating, we’re committed to nurturing and expanding this game to reach its fullest potential.
You can access FBC (Fringe Backcountry) via Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus, or you can buy it directly for $40. This is a cooperative first-person shooter game set within a secretive federal agency under siege from supernatural forces.
