Game Pass Adds One Of 2024’s Best Games Today, So Now You Have No Excuse Not To Play

Metaphor: ReFantazio, one of the best games of 2024, is now playable on Game Pass.

The critically acclaimed turn-based RPG by Developer Atlus can now be played by subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, or even Game Pass Standard.

In simple terms, Refantazio won TopMob’s 2024 Game of the Year Award and received a perfect score in TopMob’s review for Refantazio. Reviewer Jessica Cogswell described the RPG as being beyond ordinary, surpassing all its individual components, even though each component was expertly designed.

In the magical realm of Euchronia, adventurers embark on a clandestine mission to eliminate a power-hungry contender for the throne, triggering a series of political turbulences throughout the kingdom. Unexpectedly, these players are propelled into a contest to succeed as the new monarch. As they progress, they gather an unlikely band of champions from Euchronia’s diverse races, each striving to improve their world in their unique ways.

In the realm of metaphors, ReFantazio mirrors the elegance and finesse exhibited by Atlus in their past Persona projects, boasting some of the most captivating menus and animations ever witnessed in a turn-based RPG. Fans of Persona will find themselves instantly comfortable with the combat system as characters undergo transformations into distinct Archetypes, each wielding unique abilities. The soundtrack is a testament to its fantasy world, offering an original yet recognizable symphony reminiscent of composer Shoji Meguro’s previous Atlus compositions.

Other significant additions to Game Pass in May included the newly released Xbox original game Doom: The Dark Ages and the sequel Monster Train 2, in addition to The Division 2 (with its latest expansion Battle for Brooklyn) and a new game called To a T, created by Keita Takahashi, who is renowned for creating Katamari Damacy.
