It’s no surprise that no episode has surpassed “Spoils of War” in ratings on IMDb. However, it’s interesting that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has achieved the same high score, something the previous Game of Thrones spin-off, House of the Dragon, didn’t manage. The highest-rated House of the Dragon episode (Season 2, Episode 4) received a 9.4.
“A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” delivers a powerful episode without relying on dragons. Instead, it reveals who Egg really is, features a moving speech from Duncan the Tall, and ends with a memorable return of the iconic Game of Thrones theme. It’s no surprise viewers were excited and talking about the episode after it finished.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Scores a Big Win on IMDb
This is great news for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms as well. While some viewers initially didn’t connect with it, the show’s realistic story and lovable characters seem to have changed a few minds.
Although the 9.7 rating for this episode and “Spoils of War” is very good, it’s not the highest score Game of Thrones has ever received. Three episodes – Season 3’s “The Rains of Castamere,” and Season 6’s “Battle of the Bastards” and “The Winds of Winter” – all earned a perfect 9.9 on IMDb. Season 5’s “Hardhome” scored a 9.8, and several other episodes from earlier seasons also received a 9.7.
