However, recent statements suggest this theory doesn’t hold up.

The Sling Ring Portal Is Likely Doctor Doom’s

The upcoming comic, Avengers: Doomsday, will feature Doctor Doom. He’s already demonstrated the ability to teleport, unexpectedly appearing at the Baxter Building. While it’s unknown if he uses a sling ring or a Time Platform for this, a sling ring would be a visually effective choice.
