Gambit Lives! ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Deleted Scene Gives Channing Tatum a Way Out of the Void; Actor Says ‘I Pray to God’ About Making a Gambit Movie

As a film enthusiast with over two decades of movie-watching under my belt, I must say that the recent revelation about Channing Tatum‘s Gambit in “Deadpool & Wolverine” has me more excited than a kid on Christmas morning!

Fans of Marvel are becoming excited due to Ryan Reynolds sharing a deleted scene from “Deadpool & Wolverine” on social media. This scene reveals that Channing Tatum’s character, Gambit, not only survived the battle in the Void but also has a means of escaping the wasteland. An inter-dimensional portal is hinted at in the scene as it appears to be opening up in the reflection of Gambit’s eyes.

In the film, these entryways are referred to as “Marvel spark circles” by Deadpool, a term also used by Ryan Reynolds when captioning a clip. These portals enable characters to travel across different dimensions within the multiverse. This suggests that Channing Tatum’s Gambit could potentially re-enter his original universe or any other dimension in the multiverse. Although it’s not definite that Tatum’s Gambit will remain part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this is the strongest hint yet that such a scenario might indeed be on the table.

In the action-packed film “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Tatum’s portrayal of Gambit was a delightful surprise alongside Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Wesley Snipes as Blade, and Chris Evans as Johnny Storm. For years during Fox’s Marvel era, Tatum had been striving to bring a Gambit movie to life, but unfortunately, it remained unrealized when Disney acquired the studio. The film “Deadpool & Wolverine” provided Tatum with the long-awaited opportunity to see his dream of playing Gambit on the silver screen become a reality, and he is eager to reprise the role as the superhero.

In an interview with EbMaster, Tatum expressed his continued desire to create a solo Gambit film, stating, “For the past ten years, I’ve been vocal about wanting it. Now it’s up to Bob Iger and Kevin Feige. I can only hope for the best.”

Following “Deadpool & Wolverine” setting new box office records in their initial release, Tatum publicly expressed a heartfelt message about his long-awaited opportunity to portray Gambit in theaters on social media.

“Initially, it seemed like I had said goodbye to Gambit for good. However, [Reynolds] stood up for me and Gambit, an act for which I’ll be indebted to him for a lifetime. I can hardly think of any way to repay this invaluable gift. You’re my buddy…I’m so thankful to be part of this movie. In my opinion, it’s a masterpiece and nothing but pure, badass excitement. I was actually shouting in the theater!”

I’m excited to share that “Deadpool & Wolverine” is currently running in cinemas across the country! If you haven’t already, don’t miss out on a special treat – a previously unseen Gambit scene. You can catch it in the video below. Enjoy the show!
