On March 18, amidst clashes between pro-Israel and pro-Palestine demonstrators outside an event, Gal Gadot was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In footage shared on social media, a protester supporting Palestine took an Israeli flag from another supporter and fled, pursued by law enforcement. The nearby announcer mentioned that the project in focus was a reimagining of Disney Studios’ 1937 film. Gadot, who is playing the Evil Queen in Disney’s upcoming Snow White, is herself Israeli, has served in the Israel Defense Forces, and has expressed support for her country in recent times. As she accepted her star, Gadot stated, “This star will remind me that with determination, passion, and a bit of faith, anything can be achieved,” as reported by Variety. Directors like Wonder Woman’s Patty Jenkins, Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel, and Israeli actress Shira Haas were also present at the ceremony.
