G-Mode ports the 2008 Japanese feature phone RPG Maou ga Ochiru Hi II to Nintendo Switch in Japan

G-Mode has unveiled a version of the game “The Day the Demon King Falls II” (originally titled “Maou ga Ochiru Hi II“) for Nintendo Switch. Originally developed by Jaleco in 2008, this Japanese role-playing game is now accessible on the Japanese Nintendo eShop at a price of 1,000 yen. However, until September 14, you can get it with a 20% discount, bringing the cost down to 800 yen.

This recently unveiled game is a follow-up to the initial release of “Maou ga Ochiru Hi” back in 2005. The original game was launched for Japanese mobile phones, and G-Mode introduced its Nintendo Switch version in Japan last year (2021).

In both games of this series, the central idea is that a Demon King is prophesied to destroy humanity within a year. Your character’s mission is to gather the strongest team possible within twelve monthly turns to face off against this menace. These games also feature more than one hundred events and multiple endings, with the shortest ending able to be reached in as little as 5 minutes.

The second installment sets itself apart from the initial game by featuring a female lead character, Sophitia, instead of the male protagonist. Moreover, it boasts approximately 1.5 times more content compared to its predecessor.

Below, you’ll discover the official trailer and snapshots for the Japanese version of Maou ga Ochiru Hi II, a fight-themed port. Please note that this game is exclusively offered in Japanese.
