FX’s ‘Alien’ Series Gets Official Title ‘Alien: Earth’

As a movie lover with a deep appreciation for science fiction and horror genres, I couldn’t be more excited about FX’s new “Alien: Earth” series! Having grown up watching Ridley Scott’s original 1979 film and following the franchise ever since, this prequel promises to transport me back to that thrilling universe of suspense and terror.

The title for FX’s forthcoming “Alien” series has been revealed by network executive John Landgraf and showrunner Noah Hawley – it’s called “Alien: Earth.”

After wrapping up filming, I’ve moved on to the extensive post-production phase for “Fargo,” another project of mine that recently earned Emmy nominations. Now, it’s all about visual effects in this stage.

He went on to say, “This show is quite an event. I’m glad I can take my time with it. In the initial stage of any project, there’s a sense of ease, not being pressed for time. I’ve watched over half of the director’s cuts and have enjoyed the creative journey of shaping its cinematic identity. It’s an enjoyable aspect of producing a show.”

In a recent interview discussing “Fargo,” “The Bear,” “Shogun,” and other Emmy-nominated series from FX, Landgraf expressed his thoughts on the shows’ futures.

“We are very optimistic about ‘Alien: Earth’ and have informed him that if it gets renewed for a second season as we expect, we would like him to prioritize writing at least two seasons of this show before considering a return for a potential sixth season of ‘Fargo,'” he explained.

The TV show “Alien: Earth” acts as an origin story for Ridley Scott’s 1979 movie “Alien,” which started the Alien franchise that now includes eight films. Additionally, a new film called “Alien: Romulus” is coming out this summer, along with Hawley’s series.

In the prequel series, Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, David Rysdahl, Samuel Blenkin, Adarsh Gourav, Babou Ceesay, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diêm Camille, and Adrian Edmondson appear as the main cast.
