As a long-time fan of Five Nights at Freddy’s and collector of Funko Pop! figures, I was taken aback by the recent news that Jazwares has reportedly taken over the rights to produce action figures and plushes for the popular horror game series. Although I understand that other product lines, such as Pops and Mystery Minis, will still be released under Funko’s license, it is disheartening to think that my go-to source for exclusive Five Nights at Freddy’s merchandise may soon be a thing of the past.
According to horror reporter and content creator JonnyBlox on X/Twitter, Funko longer holds the rights to manufacture Five Nights at Freddy’s action figures and plush toys. Instead, these items will now be produced by Jazwares. This change affects product lines such as FNAF Funko Pops and Mystery Minis, but Funko will no longer produce Five Nights at Freddy’s action figures and plushes.
According to reports, Funko no longer holds the rights to manufacture Five Nights at Freddy’s action figures and plush toys. Instead, Jazwares is said to have taken over this specific license. However, Funko will continue to produce their distinctive lines of Pops and Mystery Minis for this franchise.

The maker of the popular FNAF spinoff series POPGOES, who goes by the name of Creator and developer, corrected a post from JonnyBlox via a retweet. This tweet explained that Jazwares does not possess an exclusive right to manufacture FNAF action figures and plush toys. Instead, other companies such as Youtooz and Hex are still authorized to create plushies for Five Nights at Freddy’s. However, it is important to note that only Funko is affected by the recent licensing modifications.
“It appears that Jazwares holds the rights to manufacture action figures and plush dolls for this particular brand.”

In May 2024, I was thrilled to learn that Jazwares had been named the master toy licensee for Scottgames’ Five Nights at Freddy’s series! This collaboration promised an exciting collection filled with plushies, action figures, playsets, and more. The release date for this line of toys was set for 2025. Some fellow fans have even suggested that Jazwares could create Squishmallows – their signature and beloved product line – featuring the characters from the main Five Nights at Freddy’s games.
As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but be thrilled about the recent collaboration between Five Nights at Freddy’s and Jazwares. This game has left an indelible mark on the gaming community, and as the master toy licensee, Jazwares is uniquely positioned to bring fans even closer to the series. According to Judd Karofsky, Executive Vice President of Jazwares, we’ll have the chance to immerse ourselves in the world of Five Nights at Freddy’s like never before. What an exciting opportunity!
As a dedicated gamer and collector of Funko merchandise, I can tell you that the recent changes in licensing agreements may significantly affect the Five Nights at Freddy’s section on their website. Currently, over 64% of FNAF products listed on Funko’s site are accounted for by the action figures and plush categories, with 31 action figures and 18 plushies available respectively. However, it remains uncertain whether other product categories, such as vinyl figures, will continue to be produced under Funko or fall under the new licensing arrangements.
