As a long-time fan of the chilling series “From,” I can confidently say that season 3 has already sent shivers down my spine with its eerie foreshadowing and intricate storytelling. The character development of Fatima, played by Pegah Ghafoori, has always been a highlight for me, as her journey from skeptic to believer in the town’s miracles is both moving and suspenseful.
It appears that Ellis’ fears regarding Fatima’s pregnancy might be materializing, as a disturbing scene from the latest Episode 3 suggests a chilling hypothesis. The scene contains an unsettling revelation.
Starting from Season 3, we were left wondering about the outcome for Fatima’s (played by Pegah Ghafoori) baby.
Despite being informed she wouldn’t bear children, Donna (Elizabeth Saunders) considers it as a rare blessing in Fromville. However, Ellis (Corteon Moore) remained skeptical, expressing worries that their newborn might resemble those peculiar, grinning creatures.
The couple’s situation isn’t very promising – starting from Season 3 Episode 1, the town’s food resources are becoming scarce, and Fatima has been experiencing frequent bouts of vomiting.
In episode 2, Marielle identifies Fatima’s condition as a severe type of morning sickness and provides her with medication to ease her discomfort. Upon their return to the Colony House, Ellis searches for Boyd (Harold Perrineau), leaving Fatima by herself.
And then something unusual happens: Fatima spots a pile of the town’s rotten crop outside and starts chowing down on it like it’s the best meal she’s ever had.
Could it be that the baby’s insatiable desire for rotten food stems from her being a monster? However, some spectators have highlighted a seemingly inconspicuous event preceding this incident: when she attempted to open the Colony House door, she found she couldn’t.
Apart from finding it difficult for Fatima to open the door, another resident soon entered effortlessly moments later.
For fans of “From”, it’s common knowledge that the grinning creatures cannot enter when there’s a protective charm on the doorway and the entryway is secured.
After observing this scenario, a spectator shared on Reddit, “Did anyone else catch that prior to Fatima attempting to eat the spoiled food, she tried unsuccessfully to enter the Colony House through its door?
Could it be that the woman carrying spoiled food entered without any issues, leading you to wonder if perhaps Fatima is transforming into a creature of some sort, or if the child might be displaying unusual characteristics?
Another replied, “OMG! I went back and re-watched this very particular portion – 39:45 minute mark Season 3 Episode 2. HOLY! You can hear the doorknob click/rattle like it is jammed/locked.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but ponder about the trinket hanging on the door. Does it truly keep her away, or is it just a clever illusion, as some spectators have suggested? This opening act of the season certainly packs a punch!
A third noticed something else that supports the theory that Fatima or her unborn child is a monster: Ellis opened the door for her at the clinic.
They mentioned that Ellis always opens the door for her at the clinic, but in the show’s replay, she didn’t seem to open an outside door on her own. It seems either someone is leaving the doors open or they are being courteous and holding the door for her.
Additionally, it’s plausible that the rotting crops in Fromville might be due to Fatima’s baby, as it appears to be feeding on them.
Given that the place seems aware Fatima is expecting, it appears as though they deliberately let those vegetables rot so she could use them for her baby’s nourishment,” suggested one.
Absolutely, I concur completely! It wasn’t about rationing food for the town at all. They couldn’t care less… it was solely about providing for the newborn. As a gamer, I can relate to the importance of prioritizing the needs of our little digital companions.
Fans noticed that Fatima became pregnant shortly after Boyd successfully eliminated one of the monsters in Season 2.
Another person pointed out that it’s strange timing, as she got pregnant shortly after they defeated one of the monsters,” said one observer. “It almost looks like she’s gestating a substitute…
In Season 2, Episode 7, Fatima expresses doubt about the pregnancy, but Donna offers an optimistic perspective, successfully persuading Fatima that it’s a miraculous event. This was the second response.
Donna’s statement, ‘a miracle is merely the other side of a nightmare,’ suggests that while things may appear miraculous on the surface (like Fatima seeming pregnant), there could be an underlying struggle or difficulty. It makes me ponder if this could be hinting at a growing nightmare within Fatima.
To put it simply, this theory seems solid and promising. Considering how slowly the series unfolds its mysteries, it’s quite possible that we won’t discover if Fatima is harboring a monster’s offspring for some time yet.
Until that point, let’s stay alert for additional hints, as discovering them is indeed an enjoyable aspect of this program.
Starting today, you can stream episodes 1 and 2 of Season 3 on MGM+. Episode 3 will be available from Sunday, October 6. Meanwhile, delve deeper into information about the cast of From, speculate on theories, and discover other exciting TV shows joining our streaming lineup this month.
