Fox News is aiming to project the idea that there’s a unified, nationwide American audience and that their anchors can address it. This year, Fox News Channel introduced the phrase “For All America” during their Super Bowl LIX broadcast on their sister network. However, a new promo set to air on Monday indicates that we might hear this phrase more often. The reason is that Fox Corporation is trying to attract advertising from networks like NBC, ABC, and CBS before the TV industry’s annual “upfront” sales market, and using this catchphrase seems to be part of their strategy.
As an increasing number of consumers opt for streaming traditional programming, live news could potentially regain interest among advertising sectors that don’t find it divisive. Despite CNN and MSNBC experiencing rating dips post the 2024 presidential election, Fox News managed to secure 65% of the total day audience and 66% in primetime during the first quarter.
