The revamped Fox Entertainment sector is shaping up, with Hannah Pillemer now leading the scripted entertainment section and Allison Wallach heading the unscripted entertainment department.
Fernando Szew, head of Fox Entertainment Studios and its president, revealed the news on Wednesday morning. In a statement, he expressed his pride in collaborating with Hannah and Allison as they shape the future of the studio. He praised their exceptional creativity and business skills, as well as their global perspective, stating that their talent will significantly boost our capacity to produce unique, memorable original content that will embody the essence of Fox moving forward.
He went on to say, “I feel invigorated and thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with these remarkable leaders, the groups they’re assembling, and the connections they nurture within the international creative network.
Previously working at MarVista Entertainment, a company owned by Fox, as Executive Vice President of Creative and Production, Pillemer has now taken the helm for all development, creative, and production across Fox Entertainment Studios’ entire scripted content catalog. This includes popular comedies like “Animal Control” starring Joel McHale and “Going Dutch” featuring Denis Leary, as well as dramas such as “The Way Home” and “The Chicken Sisters” produced by Hallmark. In her new position, she also manages the yearly production pipeline for nearly 100 movies made specifically for streaming platforms, in addition to overseeing dramas like those mentioned above.
Wallach has been appointed to manage all aspects of development, creativity, and production for Fox Entertainment Studios’ global unscripted entertainment. His responsibilities extend across all regions, with a particular emphasis on enhancing Fox Television Network and fortifying the company’s partnerships with international platforms.
