Fox Business Host Sean Duffy Tapped by Trump to Lead Department of Transportation and ‘Make Our Skies Safe Again’

As a supporter of Sean Duffy, I wholeheartedly endorse his nomination as secretary of transportation under President Trump. His unique blend of experience and versatility sets him apart from many contenders.

Sean Duffy is stepping into the political arena of Washington D.C., as Donald Trump has chosen him for his cabinet pick as Secretary of Transportation. Duffy will be taking over from Pete Buttigieg, who was chosen by President Biden to head the department in his term.

Trump is reaching into Fox’s pool of personalities twice, with Duffy being the latest pick. Previously, he announced that Pete Hegseth, co-host of “Fox & Friends Weekend,” would be appointed as secretary of defense. Unlike Hegseth, Duffy brings legislative experience to the table, having served as a U.S. Representative from 2011 to 2019. He stepped down in 2019 for personal reasons, revealing that his newborn daughter had been diagnosed with a heart condition.

Before running for the House of Representatives in 2010, Duffy held the position of District Attorney of Ashland County in Wisconsin, which he was appointed to in 2002.

Initially gaining public recognition in his late twenties, Duffy found fame as a cast member on the sixth season of MTV’s groundbreaking reality show “The Real World: Boston”. He also participated in the first installment of “The Challenge” (then known as “Road Rules: All Stars”), where he met his future wife Rachel Campos. More recently, in 2022, Duffy teamed up with Dagen McDowell to co-host “The Bottom Line” on Fox Business.

Trump declared that Duffy plans to emphasize Achievement, Skill, Efficiency, and Attractiveness when renovating America’s highways, tunnels, bridges, and airports. He will strive to maintain our Economy through secure ports and dams, without jeopardizing National Security, and he will restore safety in the skies by removing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for pilots and air traffic controllers.
