Fortiche Restructures Leadership to Expand Animation Projects and Global Reach

Renowned animation studio Fortiche, best known for creating Netflix’s internationally successful show “Arcane,” has made important staffing decisions as they transition into a period of expanded growth and increased project management responsibilities.

After achieving global acclaim for their “Arcane” series, which was developed jointly with Riot Games based on their game “League of Legends”, Fortiche is now aiming to broaden its creative horizons and increase the variety of its output. To foster this expansion, the studio has reorganized its leadership team by making three key appointments.

Cécile Hergaux Essame has been named as the new head of production at Fortiche. With approximately a quarter-century of expertise in animation, she will now supervise production activities across all of Fortiche’s studios located in Paris, Montpellier, and Las Palmas. The company states that her position will play a pivotal role in guiding the studio through its transition to managing multiple projects concurrently.

Currently, Christine Ponzevera, who was responsible for producing “Arcane” Season 2 and short films such as “Blood, Sweat and Tears” and “Welcome to Noxus,” now holds the position of head of content and executive producer. In the past year, she has taken charge of all film and television projects in collaboration with Riot Games, ensuring consistency and bolstering the studio’s key partnership.

Marion Delord has signed on with Fortiche in a role that emphasizes delegated production and establishing fresh partnerships. With an impressive 15-year background in both production and distribution, she’ll be instrumental in cultivating unique content, including the upcoming movie “Penelope of Sparta.” Additionally, she will pave the way for new strategic collaborations.

Renowned for its distinctive aesthetic and groundbreaking narratives, Fortiche maintains a strong connection with Riot Games as it ventures into fresh artistic realms. These recent hires symbolize a substantial leap towards upholding the studio’s expanding vision and worldwide aspirations.
