FilmRise, a movie and TV production company based in New York, has unveiled an innovative project aimed at enhancing the graphics of their content. They plan to achieve this by combining advanced artificial intelligence tools with skilled human editors.
Using a fresh upgrade, the company has transformed the highly successful true crime series “Forensic Files” into high-definition format. The enhanced episodes will be accessible on various streaming services as FilmRise seeks to elevate the viewing experience for their well-known brands.
According to CEO Danny Fisher, this fresh undertaking aligns perfectly with FilmRise’s fundamental goal of elevating the viewing experience for both our audience and our streaming collaborators. We are unwavering in our pursuit of consistently upgrading the content we procure and disseminate, ensuring satisfaction for both our viewers and our streaming partners.
The update to ‘Forensic Files’ is a result of FilmRise’s prolonged collaboration with Content Partners LLC, the company that owns the show’s rights. This popular series, adored by countless fans worldwide, has been given an HD upgrade across all 12 seasons and 326 episodes. This revamp provides viewers with a fresh, modern viewing experience. Right now, you can stream these updated episodes on various platforms like The Roku Channel, Amazon Prime Video, Tubi, and others.
FilmRise’s AI-powered solution was created by their tech team, headed by Chief Technology Officer Thibault Hermenault. This process combines sophisticated AI technologies with the knowledge of FilmRise’s internal editorial team, leading to a swift yet precise enhancement of older content.
Hermenault shared that the recent advancements in AI technologies are genuinely thrilling as they empower us to manage the restoration process within our own operations. By employing a hybrid approach, we can modernize older content more swiftly and economically, all while preserving that essential human touch. This way, our audiences can fully appreciate the transformation’s impact.
Scott Hemming, Content Partners’ Executive Vice President, mirrored the enthusiasm for the remaster with these words: “At Content Partners, we take pride in safeguarding and elevating the status of timeless movie and TV productions. FilmRise has been instrumental in achieving this goal, as their cutting-edge AI technology enables us to present ‘Forensic Files’ in its most compelling form.
Beyond “Forensic Files,” FilmRise also intends to apply this AI-based method across numerous titles within its extensive collection, comprising over 30,000 films and TV shows. FilmRise is actively seeking collaborations that widen the horizon of their High Definition content, including their 4K remastering of the independent film “Party Girl” and acquisition of “Death Valley Days” in high definition format.
