Summary
- Monster Hunter Wilds “Featherless Monsters” mod strips creatures of fur and feathers, creating unsettling designs.
- Mod affects almost 20 different monsters, turning them into bald, strange-looking versions.
- Despite being a novelty, the mod serves no purpose beyond amusing and disturbing players.
As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but marvel at the exceptional creature designs in the Monster Hunter series. Creatures like Zinogre, Rathalos, Diablos, and Nergigante stand out as timeless classics, but there’s a plethora of other monstrously well-designed beasts that deserve recognition too!
One Monster Hunter Wilds player, nevertheless, pondered over the styles of the game’s fresh monsters and mused, “How might they appear without any hair?”, and consequently decided to give them a bald makeover.
Monster Hunter Wilds “Featherless Monsters” Mod Reimagines Monsters Without Fur And Feathers

From my gaming perspective, I’ve been hooked on Monster Hunter Wilds, thanks to some impressive mods up until now. There was the one that ratcheted up the difficulty, another that optimized performance, and a third that toned down Palicoes. But this latest mod is something extraordinary – it’s not about enhancing gameplay or tweaking mechanics; instead, it’s all about creating an unsettling experience that leaves players intrigued and amused in equal measure. We may not understand its purpose, but we sure do love the unexpected twist!
The “Featherless Monsters” mod, posted by creator Aziaron on Nexus Mods, removes all fur, feathers, and distinct features from game monsters, leaving them with just their basic skin.
The modification alters nearly two dozen assorted creatures, ranging from big ones down to tiny ones. A complete rundown of the affected creatures is provided below.
- Congalala
- Blangonga
- Nerscylla
- Gore Magala
- Guardian Fulgur Anjanath
- Doshaguma
- Guardian Doshaguma
- Lala Barina
- Arkveld
- Guardian Arkveld
- Xu Wu
- Conga
- Blango
- Dalthydons
- Bulaqchi
- Rafma
- Porkepoume
- Nercylla Hatchling
- Guardian Seikret
The collection of monsters presented here resembles nothing more than oversized Siamese cats, according to Aziaron’s images. Despite being considered one of the game’s less fearsome creatures, the Congala stands out as the most terrifying due to its transformation from a small, fluffy pink monster into a grotesque, withered pink version of King K. Rool, especially when viewed head-on.
You might wonder why anyone would apply this modification to their game, unless they’re looking for humor or turning it into a horror game. Since I had the misfortune of witnessing these bald creatures, I thought it was only right that you should see them too.
