Ahoy there, matey! As a seasoned pirate and RPG enthusiast with more than my fair share of treasures under the belt, I’m all aboard for the delayed release of Flint: Treasure of Oblivion on November 14! The extra polish they’re adding to ensure a smooth launch is like oil on troubled waters, if you catch my drift.
Developer Savage Level and publisher Microids have moved the launch date of the tactical RPG, Flint: Treasure of Oblivion, from October 24th to November 14th. This change is due to the need for extra polishing to ensure a seamless game release.
This role-playing game offers an exciting pirate-centric journey where you lead your team, sailing the oceans in search of hidden riches. The narrative unfolds with a unique comic-style flair, while battles take place on hexagonal battlefields.
When embarking on an expedition, it’s crucial to think carefully about who you want as part of your team. Each class possesses unique abilities, like the Surgeon, the Freebooter, or the Helmsman. Combining certain classes can provide extra benefits, while having two members from the same class might enable them to execute special team moves together.

Microids and Savage Level are eagerly revealing an exclusive sneak preview of their upcoming tactical RPG, Flint: Treasure of Oblivion. The video, which runs for more than 4 minutes, offers insights into the game’s mechanics, immersive pirate-themed setting, and the depth of its role-playing aspects, all while providing commentary.
In the game “Flint: Treasure of Oblivion,” players delve into captivating settings by conversing with native characters to advance the plot and unlock further missions. As they traverse, they gather narrative-related items and Tactics cards. Utilizing these cards, Flint and his team can upgrade, acquire new weapons, and enhance their dice rolls and characteristics such as defense, agility, and health. In combat sequences, players can employ accessories, abilities, and attributes.
Before embarking on exciting journeys, players must gather a versatile crew by selecting from the pirates they’ve enlisted, each belonging to distinct classes such as Surgeon, Freebooter, or Helmsman. Each sailor brings unique abilities to the team, and pairing two of the same class can lead to powerful combinations that can shift the tide of battle.
In the game “Battles in Flint: Treasure of Oblivion,” strategic thinking is key. Players can utilize the surroundings creatively, such as dropping onto an adversary from a great height after scaling a tall structure, or knocking over a barrel to cause an enemy to tumble and gain the upper hand.
The game combines an immersive tabletop role-playing aspect, where battle outcomes are influenced by dice rolls, but the outcome can be influenced by team members’ skills and tactical combat strategies, improving players’ chances. This element of luck extends to exploration phases, such as opening treasure chests or specific storyline events.
Wishlist the game now. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 14, 2024.
