Flickering Textures Bug in STALKER 2 is a Visual Nightmare for Many of Us

As a long-time Stalker fan who has weathered the post-apocalyptic wastelands of the Zone multiple times, I must say that my latest journey into the heart of darkness has been marred by an unexpected obstacle – flickering shadows and disappearing objects in STALKER 2. It’s as if I’m not just battling mutants and artifacts, but also a pesky technical issue that keeps popping up like a relentless Stalker itself!

Although we’ve previously discussed typical problems such as audio glitches, input delay, controller malfunctions, poor frame rate, freezing, and crashes, players are now experiencing an unusual screen flickering that makes the game nearly unplayable.

In our assessment, we dive deep into the pros and cons of STALKER 2, offering a comprehensive view of its strong points and areas for improvement. However, upon closer examination, our technical review exposes a more concerning matter: texture issues. Gamers playing on PCs and Xbox platforms may encounter unsettling graphical anomalies, such as rapid flashing, shadow flickering, and abrupt object appearances, which significantly disrupt the gaming experience.

Reddit user Subject-Engine-2833 recently posted a brief clip showcasing the annoying flicker issue persisting in STALKER 2, even after multiple attempts to tweak settings such as graphic options and resolution adjustments. However, it seems that this problem continues to baffle many players.

If you’re experiencing flickering, it’s worth trying to turn it off. We can only hope the development team will address this bug in future updates.
