Thanks to a fresh teaser, we now know that the release date for “Wake Up Dead Man” has been set for 2022. Building on the success of the 2019 film “Knives Out,” director Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc return in “Glass Onion.” In this third installment, the detective finds himself amidst a new constellation of stars, with the likes of Jeremy Renner, Cailee Spaeny, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Josh O’Connor, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, and Thomas Haden Church joining the cast. Initially slated for a 2025 release, the movie has been brought forward to next year.
During Netflix’s TUDUM event on Saturday night, Johnson appeared alongside Craig, Brolin, Kunis, Renner, Spaeny, and Close to reveal the initial teaser for the movie titled “Wake Up Dead Man“. This trailer hints at a darker storyline for Blanc. Additionally, it was announced that the film is set to premiere on Netflix this year on December 12th. You can watch the trailer below:
