Is there a chance that Marvel Cinematic Universe is returning to its former glory? I must admit, I’ve been a bit skeptical given the string of less-than-stellar films and series they’ve put out lately. However, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” seems different – it could be a fresh take on Marvel Studios productions that we haven’t seen in a while. The initial teaser left me more intrigued than enthused, but now with the release of the full trailer, my interest has definitely piqued. Despite some lingering doubts, “First Steps” appears to be the film that many fans have long been anticipating.
In this movie, Marvel’s original superhero family reside in a city that blends 1960s aesthetics with futuristic elements, set on an alternate Earth. Characters Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) are admired by the inhabitants of their world. However, their duties as Earth’s protectors are put to the test when a cosmic entity known as Galactus emerges. The stylish ambiance and the sight of all four characters in action make for an exhilarating experience. On the other hand, Julia Garner’s portrayal of Silver Surfer initially falls short of expectations. Nevertheless, the new trailer is entertaining, and we can only hope the film lives up to it.
The Incredible Beginnings of The Fantastic Four” hits cinemas on July 25th! Take a look at the video preview below, then tell me if you’re planning to catch it or not.
