Paul Thomas Anderson is an acclaimed film director whose movies always generate buzz when they come out. Personally, I find his films to be somewhat inconsistent, but when he succeeds, it’s in a major way. That’s why I’m looking forward to his upcoming project titled “One Battle After Another.” Recently, the full trailer was released and my anticipation has definitely increased.
One Battle at a Time” – This black comedy is reportedly influenced by Thomas Pynchon’s 1997 novel “Vineland.” The story revolves around Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, a former hyperactive hippie turned anti-government activist, who assembles an eccentric group of revolutionaries to confront a white supremacist organization. Notable supporting actors include Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Alana Haim, and Sean Penn. With a production budget estimated between $100 – $145 million, it appears that Paul Thomas Anderson is investing heavily in this project.
The movie ‘One Battle After Another’ is set to premiere on September 26th. Have a look at the trailer down below and tell me whether you plan to watch it or not.
