For the upcoming months, Firaxis Games has revealed a slightly revised roadmap for the development of what we know as Civilization 7.

The current iteration of the popular series, “Civilization”, is currently grappling with some significant hurdles. Following its underwhelming debut, it’s apparent that the latest addition didn’t meet expectations, leading to less-than-impressive reviews. Nevertheless, the developers have promptly sprung into action, striving to refine the game, address its flaws, and entice more players to reconsider their initial apprehensions.
Civilization at a crossroads
As a fervent enthusiast, I’m excited about “The Crossroads of the World DLC” that’s now available on Nintendo. It seems it’s designed to enhance my gaming experience. According to the developers’ roadmap for next year, this expansion will be divided into two phases. The first part, slated for release in early March, promises to introduce Great Britain and Carthage as playable nations.
In addition to the assembly of leaders, Ada Lovelace, a renowned British mathematician and pioneer in programming, will be part of the group. Furthermore, we’ll add four new locations to our list of world wonders: Machapuchare in Nepal, Mount Fuji in Japan, Vihren in Bulgaria, and Vinicunca in Peru.
The second segment of the DLC is set for release towards the end of March. This expansion will feature Bulgaria and Nepal, along with Simon Bolivar, who was the leader of the Libertadores, a group striving to free South America from Spanish rule during the early 19th century.
In the Deluxe and Founders Editions of the seventh Civilization, owners will enjoy downloadable content at no extra cost. Additionally, this expansion can be purchased independently as well.
I’m thrilled to share that this isn’t the last you’ll hear about updates – some exciting new features are set for release in March! Intriguingly, they include Mount Everest and the Bermuda Triangle. The gaming experience is set to escalate with two events: “Marvelous Mountains” and “Natural Wonder Battle.” Additionally, two significant updates are on the horizon – 1.1.0 kicking off in early March, followed by 1.1.1 at the end of the month. Only time will tell if these changes will captivate players and make the latest edition of Civilization truly stand out.
