As a long-time fan of the Final Fantasy series who has spent countless hours exploring the rich worlds and characters that Square Enix has created, I am absolutely thrilled to see the release of the Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster Anniversary Edition! Growing up, these games were a significant part of my childhood, and being able to relive those adventures on modern consoles is truly exciting.
As a dedicated Final Fantasy fan, I’m thrilled to share that the coveted Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster is now available at major US retailers, starting October 8! The preorders through the Square Enix Store back in late 2022 were snapped up lightning-fast. Thankfully, it seems Square Enix anticipated this massive interest, and you can still grab the Anniversary Edition from stores like Amazon and Best Buy. Unfortunately, it’s out of stock at Target for now. The Anniversary Edition features a cool sticker sheet of character sprites, and all six games are included on the cartridge (for Nintendo Switch) or disc (for PS4).

The Final Fantasy I-VI Collection – Anniversary Edition retails at $75. If you have a Prime membership, you might qualify for free or even same-day delivery. Currently, Walmart offers the Switch version for $70, but it’s important to note that this is being sold by a third-party reseller and shipped by Walmart. This seems to be the original release. The only difference between the two editions lies in the inclusion of a sticker sheet with the Anniversary Edition.
If you pick it up from Amazon this week, don’t forget that Prime Big Deal Days runs October 8-9. There are some Final Fantasy products included in the massive sale, including several books and Blu-rays that are eligible for Amazon’s buy two, get one free sale.
