‘Final Destination 6’ Sets Summer Release Date, J.J. Abrams-Produced ‘Flowervale Street’ Delayed to 2026

As a seasoned movie critic with over three decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest shake-up in Warner Bros.’ film release schedule has left me scratching my head more than a cat chasing its tail!

As a movie enthusiast, I’m excited to share some updates from Warner Bros.’ film lineup! They’ve moved “Final Destination: Bloodlines” from the shadows of an unknown release date and placed it boldly in the summer of… well, let’s leave that to your calendar. On the other hand, the intriguing mystery thriller “Flowervale Street,” which boasts the backing of J.J. Abrams, will now grace our screens a bit later than expected – all the way in 2026. So, mark your calendars and stay tuned for more updates on these captivating films!

The upcoming movie, titled ‘Final Destination 6’, is scheduled for release on May 16, 2025. This slot was initially reserved for ‘Flowervale Street’, but it has been postponed to March 13, 2026, moving nearly a year ahead. ‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’ will follow ‘Thunderbolts’, Disney’s Marvel adventure, by about two weeks (May 2), and it will be released just before ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’ and the live-action ‘Lilo & Stitch’ from Paramount and Disney, respectively (May 23).

The studio also acquired “Animal Friends,” a live-action/ CGI hybrid road trip adventure starring Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza and TikToker Addison Rae, and pushed its release date back to Oct. 10, 2025. Sony was previously set to release the film in August before Warner Bros. took over distribution duties. On its current release date, “Animal Friends” will open alongside Disney’s “Tron: Ares” and Paramount’s “Ang: The Last Airbender.”
