In the United States, Monster Hunter Wilds has claimed the title of the best-selling video game of 2025 thus far, thanks to strong launch sales that catapulted it to the number one spot. According to Circana data, its launch month earnings were a whopping 40% higher than Monster Hunter World and double those of Monster Hunter Rise. Remarkably, over half of its sales came from the PC version on Steam, yet it still managed to be the top-selling game across all platforms it was released on in February 2025.
Despite finishing second in sales last month, the revenue generated by Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 during its initial launch was an astounding five times greater than that of the original game in 2018. Given Warhorse Studios’ success with their first title, which remained a steady seller, it is expected that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will sell significantly more copies in the upcoming months and years.
Among the latest launches, Civilization VII had the third-highest sales in February 2025, followed by PGA Tour 2K25 in fourth place, Avowed (Xbox’s new release) in seventh, and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii securing eighth position.
Regarding games exclusively available on PlayStation, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ranked as the 13th top-selling game in the U.S. last month, with Helldivers 2 and Astro Bot following closely behind at positions 17 and 20 respectively.
