As a seasoned CS:GO enthusiast with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 is shaping up to be a thrilling event. The quarterfinals match between FaZe Clan and Team Liquid was a masterclass in dominance by the former.
In the opening quarterfinal game of BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024, G2 Esports ousted Team Spirit, but the excitement didn’t end there. Instead, Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) enthusiasts were in for a treat with another high-profile match between FaZe Clan and Team Liquid.
In their first game in Group A, FaZe Clan suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat against a formidable G2 Esports team. Subsequently, they narrowly defeated Team Falcons by the same scoreline. Meanwhile, Team Liquid pulled off an upset against Spirit with a reverse sweep in their opening match. However, despite ZywOo being closely watched by Team Liquid’s young AWPer, they ended up losing to Team Vitality in a 2-0 sweep.

That’s how how we got to a Team Liquid vs, FaZe Clan quarterfinals match at BLAST Premier Fall Final.
In the initial map of Inferno (FaZe Clan’s choice), it was immediately evident that FaZe Clan, led by Finn “karrigan” Andersen, were not there to play casually but to overpower their opponents from the get-go. On the attacking side, FaZe Clan swiftly took control and never looked back. Team Liquid put up a slight resistance and even snatched a few additional rounds towards the end of the half. However, the first half of Dust2 ended with FaZe Clan leading 8-4.
Despite FaZe Clan’s dominating performance, my favorite highlight on Inferno has to be the ace from Team Liquid’s Australian rifler, Justin “jks” Savage, which you can view in a Twitch clip replay below.
On the CT side of Inferno, FaZe Clan seized control, effectively thwarting any execution attempts by their opponents. Unfortunately for Team Liquid, they couldn’t sustain their gameplay, and ultimately, FaZe Clan closed out Dust2 with a decisive 13-6 victory.
Initially, Mirage was the chosen map by Team Liquid, offering spectators a glimmer of anticipation for a more evenly matched series. However, when FaZe Clan started on the defensive side (CT), they quickly shattered Team Liquid’s prospects, building a commanding 11-1 lead as both teams transitioned to offense and defense roles.
Despite Team Liquid putting up some resistance, securing two rounds on the CT side, it ultimately proved insufficient as FaZe Clan overpowered them, winning 13-3 on Mirage and clinching the series with a dominant 2-0 victory.
In truth, Team Liquid faced long odds when FaZe Clan’s Estonian player, Robin “ropz” Kool, performed exceptionally well. He dominated the leaderboard with astonishing statistics, managing an impressive 37 kills in such a brief series. Here’s a link to ropz’ ace in the 9th round of Mirage, where he used an AWP rather than a rifle…
In this rephrased version, here’s how it goes: Team Liquid is out in the fifth and sixth positions, pocketing $20,000 as their prize money. On the other hand, FaZe Clan advances to square off against NAVI in the second semifinal match on September 28 at 19:00 CEST. Be sure not to miss this exciting encounter!
