As a long-time gamer and follower of the streaming scene, I can’t help but empathize with FaZe Lacy’s situation. Having witnessed the meteoric rise of streamers earning substantial income from ad revenue, it’s disheartening to see one of the big names struggle with a significant drop in earnings.

FaZe Clan’s Lacy criticized Twitch following a substantial decrease in his advertising income, stating that he is currently earning approximately $2,000 per day.

In the realm of earning income through live streaming, there exist multiple paths for streamers. Besides traditional methods like donations and subscriptions, they can also explore brand collaborations. However, a significant source of additional income has proven to be ad revenue for many.

Some streamers with exclusive contracts can negotiate their share in ads and the quantity required per live stream. Yet, it’s not necessary to have such an agreement to earn significant income. This was demonstrated when ex-Call of Duty pro Parasite disclosed his past earnings from Twitch a few months ago.

Consequently, FaZe Lacy has expressed frustration due to a significant decrease in his advertising earnings. He’s voiced this discontent towards the Amazon-owned platform as a response.

He stated, “I’ve looked into my ad earnings, and unfortunately, I’m not seeing any income from ads. It’s not the expected amount.” The problem here is that I haven’t set up any tags for myself, I don’t discuss politics, nor do I engage in activities that might trigger ads, yet I’m not receiving anything.

Initially, I used to earn around $10,000 a day from ads at certain points, but now it’s down to about $2,000. This drop in income is concerning, as my daily earnings have significantly decreased from five figures to just $2,000. It seems there might be an issue with the ad revenue calculations, as the current amount doesn’t match what I should be earning.

As a gamer, I’d say: “Dropping my daily ad revenue from $10k to just $2k? That’s like going back to pocket change! If I wanted earnings that slim, I guess I could try delivering letters instead!

If the FaZe Clan member desired to earn approximately $2,000 daily, he’d opt for a career as a mailman instead. It seems he has acquaintances who are financially well-off in the postal service.

As a dedicated streamer, if Twitch doesn’t rectify the ad revenue issue and return it to its usual state, you won’t find me streaming on your platform anymore. I take this seriously, not just as entertainment but as my means of earning a living. This isn’t a hobby; it’s my job, my source of income.

It’s been pointed out that streamers such as FaZe Kaysan have faced channel demonetization due to using their country names as tags on Twitch.
