Fantasy Life I: The Time-Thieving Girl is now accessible globally! As you advance through the primary narrative, additional game features and functions will become available, both offline and online. One such addition is the game’s Treasure Grove system. This guide aims to explain how to unlock Treasure Groves in Fantasy Life I, the story quest required for this, an overview of how Treasure Groves function within the online environment, and other related aspects.
Note that this guide will have spoilers for Chapter 4 of the main story.
What is the Treasure Grove in Fantasy Life i?
Treasure Groves are like intricate mazes, each one uniquely designed. They offer a thrilling solo experience, or you can team up with Non-Player Characters (NPCs) or friends in multiplayer mode. As you advance through the floors, you make decisions about which path to take next, ultimately leading you to the end. Successfully completing a Treasure Grove rewards you with Goddess Fruit, which you can exchange with Marco for exclusive items.
If you find yourself stuck on a level, you have the option to quit (from your unusual device on page 2) and then come back later. You’ll still retain any items you’ve acquired or picked up during this process. I recently exited the Treasure Grove after finishing two levels, and it allowed me to pick up where I left off. As you can observe, the Treasure Grove system is quite forgiving.
How to unlock the Treasure Grove mode in Fantasy Life i multiplayer
Once you’ve advanced past Chapter 4 of Fantasy Life, which goes by the name “The Polturnip and the Leafe”, you’ll be able to access the Treasure Groves game mode or multiplayer option. To do this, simply plant the sapling for a Treasure Grove that you receive upon completing Chapter 4.

Where to plant the Treasure Grove sapling in Fantasy Life i
In the game, it instructs you to place the Treasure Grove seedling somewhere within the Base Camp area. The initial spot suggested is to the left side of the Base Camp Guild, as illustrated in the image provided above.
How to get more Treasure Grove saplings in Fantasy Life i
You can find additional saplings by interacting with traveling merchants in Ginormosia, or by successfully vanquishing Mimics wandering throughout the continent. Additionally, discovering a friend’s Treasure Grove rewards you with a Treasure Grove Branch. This item allows you to revisit that specific grove on your own personal island.
