The Fantastic Four: First Footsteps” has outperformed Marvel Studio’s top film from last year, “Deadpool & Wolverine,” at the Paris box office. Led by Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby, this highly anticipated movie, set to release on July 25, 2025, is poised to kick off Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The Fantastic Four: First Steps records biggest opening in Paris in 2025

According to a recent update on X (previously known as Twitter), The Fantastic Four: First Steps opened at the Paris box office with a larger attendance than Deadpool and Wolverine, setting a new benchmark.

According to a post by @BoxOfficefr, the movie “#TheFantasticFourFirstSteps” is dominating the box office in Paris, with 2,714 admissions across 22 theaters during its first day.

Furthermore, it was noted on Reddit that “Fantastic Four: First Steps” had a more successful opening in Paris this morning compared to the combined debut of Deadpool and Wolverine at the same time last year, despite being shown on fewer screens. Specifically, “Deadpool & Wolverine” were screened on 25 screens and sold approximately 2,626 tickets in Paris at 2 PM, whereas “Fantastic Four: First Steps” surpassed these figures on a smaller number of screens.

Initially, I must admit that the box office figures presented here are preliminary and subject to change as the day progresses. Yet, it’s intriguing to delve into these early numbers, offering a tantalizing glimpse into what could potentially be the final tally.

This summer blockbuster, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” has set new records for ticket sales in 2023, outperforming films such as “Superman,” “Lilo & Stitch,” and “F1: The Movie.” Additionally, it boasts the highest box office earnings among this year’s Marvel releases.

During its debut in Paris, Thunderbolts was screened across 18 theaters and managed to sell 1,512 tickets. The sales figure for Captain America: Brave New World is known to be 1,372, though the number of screens where it was shown remains undisclosed.

Based on reports from Deadline, it’s projected that The Fantastic Four: First Steps could potentially earn between $190 million and $210 million during its initial weekend at the worldwide box office.
