As a seasoned gamer with decades of RPG adventures under my belt, I can’t help but feel a nostalgic thrill at the news of Fantasian Neo Dimension‘s console and PC release. Hironobu Sakaguchi, the mastermind behind some of the most iconic Final Fantasy games, is back with this visually stunning and musically enchanting turn-based RPG.
Initially launched exclusively for mobile platforms, the game Fantasian is making its console and PC debut on December 5. Developed by Mistwalker and spearheaded by Hironobu Sakaguchi, who has a storied past directing many acclaimed Final Fantasy games like the original Final Fantasy VII, Fantasian boasts music from Nobuo Uematsu, another respected figure in the best FF series. However, until now, fans could only access this turn-based RPG on iOS, macOS, and tvOS. But now, the wait is over as Fantasian is coming to consoles and PC. Preorders for Fantasian’s Neo Dimension version are already available, with the Switch edition leading the way on Amazon.
Fantasian Neo Dimension Preorder Bonuses
Pre-purchasing Fantasian grants you the Vibran Secret Stone, a combat-usable in-game item that boosts the experience points your characters earn in battles, thus enabling you to reach higher levels more swiftly during gameplay.
In Fantasian, players assume the character of Leo, a protagonist struggling with amnesia as he navigates through the world in an effort to regain his memories and combat a mysterious mechanical illness called “mechteria” that’s wreaking havoc on the world. The game pays tribute to traditional turn-based combat while incorporating contemporary elements into its gameplay, mirroring the classic RPG style that Sakaguchi is renowned for from the 1990s.
One striking feature of Fantasian is its visual appeal – the game’s world is constructed from authentic dioramas, while the characters are meticulously hand-animated to blend seamlessly with this style. Over 150 dioramas populate the game, lending it a distinct charm as you traverse its multidimensional universe.
Alongside making Fantasian available for pre-order, Amazon is currently discounting several games from Square Enix. This sale features titles like Power Wash Simulator and Forspoken, as well as upcoming releases such as Life is Strange: Double Exposure and Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. Don’t forget to check out some of our favorite discounted games from the Square Enix collection listed below.
