Familiar Faces and Dark Secrets Unveiled in The White Lotus Season 3 Episode 3!

In Episode 3 of The White Lotus Season 3, we’re beginning to uncover the secrets and mysteries that each guest has been keeping hidden.

Funny enough, I’m finding it quite amusing that Belinda, who’s technically supposed to be grinding away at work, seems to be enjoying her vacation the most. The rest of us? We’re either engaged in some not-so-subtle office politics (cough, ladies, cough) or quietly plotting how to sneak in our return home without our families figuring out it’s timed perfectly with the premiere of Schitt’s Creek.

Right smack in the heart of things lies a forgotten enigma – someone has met an untimely end. As of now, Belinda’s son Zio hasn’t graced the hotel with his presence yet, so it seems we’re still miles away from uncovering the identity of the person found face-down in the pond.

Regardless, The White Lotus is merely warming up as it delves deeper into the tangled web of drama. If you believe you’ve seen a familiar face from a past season, Episode 3 of Season 3 is set to confirm your suspicions. Be cautious: spoilers are coming!

Rick makes his next move in The White Lotus Season 3 Episode 3

As I, Victoria, bask under the starry night on a tranquil beach with my trusty Lorazepam by my side, The White Lotus Season 3 Episode 3 begins. Lochlan, accompanied by two resort staff members, is on the opposite end of the beach, ominously stating, “This is what it looks like before a tsunami.” The team swaddles me in a comforter, and I tentatively venture into the sea. Suddenly, waves reminiscent of a tsunami sweep over me… only for me to find myself awakening.

Timothy is conversing on the phone while he stands outside, reminiscing about the initial encounter he had with Kenny Ngyuen. He asserts that the fund, Sho-kel, was not his concept. In the conversation, he also requests Joe, who’s now identified, to dig up any information he can. The following morning at breakfast, Victoria shares her dream with the family, and Piper interprets it as a cautionary sign. Saxon swiftly dismisses this notion, leaving Timothy distracted.

Rick successfully moves towards Sritala while Chelsea watches in astonishment. He then sits down next to her and explains that he’s a film producer based in Thailand, working on an important project. He invites her for a meeting with one of his clients, which coincidentally takes place in Bangkok – the very city where Sritala is planning to travel to be with her ailing spouse. Intrigued, she hands Rick her business card and he departs back to Chelsea without revealing the details of their upcoming encounter.

This situation infuriates Chelsea, as she believes everything Rick does directly impacts her. She responds, “Of course it does, I’m your life partner.” Rick distances himself, jokingly asserting their star signs are incompatible. He then informs Chelsea he is departing for Bangkok the following day. When she queries what she should do in the interim, Rick suggests, “Perhaps you can encounter a wealthy man and mooch off of him instead.

Timothy goes to extreme measures to keep the truth a secret

The three friends, who often find themselves at odds, meet up with Valentin, who is both their acquaintance and the hotel’s energy healer. He proposes sessions with the healers, which piques their interest. During the conversation, Jac subtly flirts with him, inquiring about his past life in Russia, and inquires if he has a girlfriend. After Valentin departs, Jac pressures Laurie to start a romantic involvement, asking her for a private healing session together.

Following Belinda’s discovery of her schedule, the scene shifts back to the Ratliff household. Timothy’s phone is continuously ringing, informing the family that it’s work-related matters. He steps away from the table to take these calls, learning that two FBI agents are at his workplace searching for him. One of his colleagues had provided them with his number, and a person named Chuck informed him they have a warrant. Timothy is instructed not to contact anyone until Chuck returns.

Later in their room, Saxon receives a call from someone named Terry, who informs him that many people are searching for Timothy. When Terry contacts Saxon again, Timothy declines the call. This occurs a third time, with Timothy abruptly deciding to hand over their phones to the staff. Saxon resists this action, while Victoria shows support. This leads to an argument between Piper and Saxon, as Saxon accuses his sister of having a “spontaneous spiritual crisis,” suggesting she demands things from others. Timothy pulls Saxon aside, expressing that there must be more to life than just success.

In his free time, Saxon decides to focus on Lochlan as a personal project. He attempts to increase Lochlan’s muscle mass using protein shakes and confidently predicts that he will have romantic success by the end of the week. It appears that Chloe is the object of Saxon’s affection, having earlier expressed her admiration for him to Chelsea. Gaitok shares with Mook a discussion he had with Sritala earlier, expressing his willingness to assist her in Bangkok. Additionally, he tells Mook that he would consider leaving the island if she were to join him.

“Gary” is Tanya’s ex-husband Greg

Rick attends his second session on stress management, acknowledging that he has a history of doing wrong things and making mistakes. He shares a personal struggle, saying “My father was a good man, but I never really knew him because he was taken away from us. I can’t seem to regain control of my life… yet perhaps there’s still something I can find to be content with.” Meanwhile, Piper arranges a meeting at the temple for a post-graduate opportunity she’s interested in. As for Belinda, she’s enjoying some tranquil moments being held by Pornchai in a pool.

At the swimming pool, Chloe confides in Chelsea about issues with Gary – more precisely, his former spouse. Sharply observant viewers would recognize this is actually about Tanya, since “Gary” is actually Greg Hunt from Season 1. As Rick departs for town, Chelsea pursues him, leaving Chloe vulnerable to Saxon’s approach. After exchanging greetings, Chloe comments dismissively, “I hear you’re a jerk,” with a grin. Meanwhile, Sritala’s associates, who had been standing nearby during the previous conversation, confront Gaitok. They tease him for failing to capture the thief, implying Fabian wanted him dismissed.

Rick’s demeanor transforms dramatically upon finding a joint, prompting Chelsea to wonder aloud if they’ll have fun again anytime soon. Rick yearns for intoxication, but Chelsea reminds him of their plans to meet Chloe and Gary at the hotel barbecue later in the evening, causing Rick disappointment. Spotting a snake exhibit on the street, he urges Chelsea to join him, expressing frustration at the sight of so many captive creatures, arguing even venomous ones deserve freedom. Victoria proposes giving Timothy some lorazepam to calm him down, which he accepts hesitantly.

Chelsea almost dies… again

Exiting the reptile exhibition in a clumsy manner, Rick starts unlocking several glass enclosures in an attempt to liberate the snakes. Upon discovering him, Chelsea encounters a cobra that bites her on the leg. The staff swiftly whisk her off to the hospital, keeping Rick from accompanying her. At the same time, the hotel’s barbecue commences, featuring a captivating fire performance. Fortunately, Chelsea recovers quickly, and Rick alleges his marijuana was tainted. Later in the day, Chelsea, Chloe, and Gary organize a boat excursion for tomorrow.

It’s Jac and Laurie’s time to subtly criticize Kate when she admits that she regularly attends church in Austin on Sundays. Kate becomes protective when the duo challenges Texas’ political climate and conservatism, asserting that all the people she meets are kind-hearted. She then mentions her husband is a Republican, without explicitly stating whether she supported Trump herself. Belinda confides in Pornchai about the incident at the hotel from Season 1, revealing that she recognized someone the previous night. Belinda then goes over to Gary/Greg’s table, who flat-out denies his real identity or relationship with Tanya.

The following day, I’m setting sail on Gary’s boat, joining the Ratliffs for our full moon celebration. Unfortunately, Timothy wasn’t there to join us at dinner, utterly knocked out. Gaitok got word from the other security crew members that he needs to meet with Fabian tomorrow. Rick made a call to his buddy Frank in Bangkok, requesting assistance with a couple of tasks. Despite my friend Chelsea calling me “insane,” she’s sticking around, refusing to be shaken off.

Pornchai stumbles and makes inappropriate advances towards Belinda as he escorts her to her room late at night. Meanwhile, Kate awakens from sleep, overhearing a conversation between Jac and Laurie that concerns her. In the dead of night, Timothy steals more of Victoria’s Ativan without her knowledge. When Victoria questions him about it, Timothy remains silent and unable to confess his actions.
