It’s time for celebration, fellow enthusiasts! The acclaimed TV show “Fallout,” inspired by the video game of the same name, has been greenlit for a third season even before its Season 2 debut in December 2025. This announcement was made on Monday, May 12, by Prime Video, demonstrating their confidence in the drama series starring Ella Purnell and the beloved Walton Goggins. Given Goggins’ past comments about the show (which has just completed filming), this isn’t a shock to us either.
At the Prime Video Upfronts Presentation held at New York’s iconic Beacon Theater, I had the pleasure of witnessing Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and the one and only Goggins grace the stage. They shared exhilarating details about the upcoming season right before offering a tantalizing glimpse of Season 2 to advertisers. The second season will continue the narrative in the wake of the dramatic finale from Season One, guiding us through the desolate Mojave desert all the way to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas.
The holidays arrived unexpectedly early this year – executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are elated to embark on a third installment of Fallout, marking the end of the world once more. On behalf of our talented team including our showrunners Geneva [Robertson-Dworet] and Graham [Wagner], as well as our partners at Bethesda, we express our gratitude to Amazon MGM Studios, our collaborators, and the fantastic fans who accompany us on this journey through the wasteland. Robertson-Dworet and Wagner added their thanks for surviving the apocalypse yet again, praising the hard work of the whole cast and crew, Kilter, and Amazon.
Vernon Sanders, who leads the television division at Amazon MGM Studios, shared his thoughts on the recent announcement.
We’re incredibly excited that global Prime Video customers can explore further into the mesmerizingly strange and intriguing universe of “Fallout”. The talented team consisting of Jonah, Lisa, Geneva, and Graham have done a fantastic job transforming this popular video game series onto Prime Video. In collaboration with our fantastic partners at Bethesda Games and Bethesda Softworks, we’re proud to reveal that a third season of “Fallout” is on its way, even before the highly anticipated premiere of Season Two.
Keen on finding out details for Season 2 of Fallout? Continue scrolling to catch up on the exciting insights shared by Goggins and team regarding the anticipated high-octane continuation.
‘Fallout’ Season 2 Blows The First “Out Of The Water!” Says Walton Goggins
Enthusiasts of the initial season, boasting an outstanding 94% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer, captivated fans of the video game and attracted viewers unfamiliar with it (similar to this writer). The series, characterized by its heightened antics and exceptional mood, was skillfully portrayed by remarkable performances from Purnell, Motem, Goggins, and Kyle Maclachlan.
