F1 Fanatic: This Movie Made Me Obsessed!

Okay, I have to be honest about something. I’ve never seen an F1 race.

Of course, it’s no secret that I’m an ardent sports enthusiast. We’ve talked about favorite sports movies, binge-watched some fantastic sports-themed series, and once even marathoned a whole collection of football films due to my deep affection for the game. When my team is in a tight spot, you can bet I’ll be vocalizing my support – or perhaps my frustration – from the comfort of my couch!

It turns out that I’ve never looked into Formula One (F1). I believe this is due to the fact that I wasn’t drawn to the appeal of racing cars.

Since the premiere of F1, I made a point to watch it and let me tell you, it truly exceeded my expectations. So, let’s delve into the discussion about it.

I Didn’t Expect Much Going Into It

Initially, I didn’t anticipate much from this movie for several reasons. One major factor was my lack of familiarity with Formula 1 as I hadn’t watched it extensively before. Another reason was that I had always found the concept of cars circling repeatedly at high speeds uninteresting.

I haven’t delved deeply into the world of Formula One, my interaction being limited to reading a romantic novel on the subject. However, what is it about high-speed cars that excites people? Frankly, I can’t say for certain.

I chose to catch the movie primarily because I thoroughly loved “Top Gun: Maverick” and can’t wait for “Top Gun 3.” The director, Joseph Kosinski, switching gears to car racing piqued my interest, so I headed to the cinema.

Even So, My God, The Film Was SO Much Fun

This film…was a freaking ride. Literally.

I’d rather not get into the intricacies of it to preserve the story’s surprises, but if you’re fretting over disliking the movie due to being unfamiliar with racing, there’s no reason to be concerned. This film isn’t solely for car enthusiasts – it caters to cinephiles who appreciate high-octane cinema on the big screen.

In simpler terms, I’m saying that the racing sequences were incredibly exciting, even if they weren’t entirely accurate reflections of reality. The movie doesn’t fall under the action genre, but it has the rhythm and direction of an action film – from inside the car to the spectator stands outside the track. This presentation made the sport seem more thrilling than I had previously imagined.

When it was over, I was actually disappointed – because I wanted to watch more.

Now, I Genuinely Want To Watch The Sport

How did I handle that feeling of disappointment? Well, I looked up running events instead, just to show how much the movie touched me.

It took me by surprise how much I enjoyed this racing film. I assumed it would be just another mediocre one in the genre. Yet, finding myself eager to learn more about Formula 1 and craving more of the movie, indicates that this might not be an ordinary film for those who were unsure about it before watching.

The experience is thrilling, refreshing, and captivating from start to finish. What adds to its charm is the abundant resources available on this sport, ensuring that you’ll never run out of new things to learn or discover.

As a movie enthusiast, if you haven’t caught the thrilling ride of F1 yet, I strongly encourage you to do so. And if you’ve already been a part of its triumphant box office success, it’s hard to believe you’re not currently immersed in another race – because I have this feeling that very soon, I’ll be joining the crowd cheering for this masterpiece!
