Prior to the debut of EXODUS, the eagerly awaited sci-fi RPG from Archetype Entertainment, introduces a fresh actual play series titled Star Heist: An EXODUS Tale. Led by game designer and Dungeon Master James Ohlen, Star Heist narrates the journey of a group of explorers as they strive to safeguard humanity.
The guidelines and personalities in Star Heist draw inspiration from the EXODUS Traveler’s Handbook, an intricately crafted tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) conceived by Ohlen and the Archetype storytellers. This allows fans to delve more profoundly into the universe of EXODUS.
Ohlen shared that “Star Heist” perfectly blends his twin artistic pursuits – crafting the grimy, sci-fi setting of EXODUS and transforming it into a wild, immersive tabletop role-playing game experience in real life.
I’ve been leading tabletop campaigns since time immemorial, but the opportunity to manage a campaign set in the EXODUS universe, and allow fans to join me on this journey, is a lifelong dream. Over the course of the series, we’ll reveal intriguing aspects of the game world, and I can hardly wait for fans to embark with us on an exploration of the distant corners of this imaginative Sci-Fi realm.
The debut episode of Star Heist has just been released on YouTube, where Ohlen serves as the Dungeon Master alongside Elizabeth Maxwell playing Ursula, Brian Villalobos portraying Isaac, Chynna Walker bringing Orwell to life, and Cassidy Cummings embodying Shelley.
