Exclusive: The Witcher's Original Comics From The '90s Will Finally Be Published In English

As a longtime fan of The Witcher franchise, I am beyond excited about the upcoming release of The Witcher: Classic Collection from Dark Horse. This comic series holds a special place in my heart, having grown up reading the original Polish publications back in the 90s. The fact that these stories are finally being translated into English for the first time is truly a dream come true.

As a huge fan of The Witcher, I’m always excited to explore new takes on this intriguing universe. The Witcher has graced various forms of media, such as video games, literature, and TV shows. However, its comic books stand out for their creative diversity. With numerous writers and artists bringing their unique perspectives to the table, these comics offer a fresh spin on Geralt of Rivia’s monster-hunting adventures. Now, English-speaking fans can look forward to experiencing this rich comic book series for the first time with The Witcher: Classic Collection from Dark Horse. Each page promises an engaging and distinctive journey into The Witcher’s captivating world.

GameSpot received an advanced peek at the cover artwork for the upcoming collection from Dark Horse. We are delighted to share this exclusive first look with you, as shown below.

Exclusive: The Witcher's Original Comics From The '90s Will Finally Be Published In English

The Classic Collection of The Witcher gathers the initial comic novels authored in Poland from 1993 to 1995 and renders them into English for the very first time. These comics, penned by Maciej Parowski with illustrations from Bogusław Polch, were inspired by Andrzej Sapkowski’s first compilation of short stories about Geralt of Rivia, the originator of The Witcher series.

Dark Horse has published a new paperback compilation of “The Witcher” series, consisting of six issues: “The Road of No Return,” “The Betrayal,” “Geralt,” “The Lesser Evil,” and “The Last Wish.” This collection features the original vibrant artwork and includes an updated English translation.

The “The Witcher: Classic Collection” is scheduled to hit stores on March 18, 2025, priced at $30. Pre-orders can be placed soon on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Keep an eye on this post for further notice when pre-orders become available.
