Ex-McDonald’s chef explains big secret behind “healthy” menu options being added

A previous McDonald’s cook has disclosed several significant factors contributing to the frequent removal of their “healthy” choices from the menu.

For quite some time now, McDonald’s has made efforts to provide more nutritious meal choices. They’ve been offering chicken salads, include fruit bags and water in their Happy Meals, and have added a number of additional healthy options too.

He pointed out that even though those particular clients might continue to visit McDonald’s, they would end up ordering different items. Unfortunately, the grilled chicken salad wasn’t popular enough to hit the required sales target and needed to be discontinued.

In Haracz’s words, “There were no problems with customer retention. If they removed burgers from the menu, people wouldn’t visit anymore. However, they took off grilled chicken since you’d probably choose a different dish for yourself and your family instead.
