Evil Recap: Jesus, Pillow, and Michael Bay

As a tech-savvy millennial who’s been through the ringer with AI and corporate greed, let me tell you, this story hits way too close to home. I’ve seen my fair share of privacy violations and ethical dilemmas in the tech industry, and it’s disheartening to see companies prioritize profits over people.

As a movie enthusiast, I’d put it this way: Evil is cunning. You think the toxic love story between Kristen and David has reached its bitter end, with Kristen’s husband confined in a psychiatric hospital due to Satan’s sinister influence? Think again! This series is deliberately stirring up those old flames once more. And please don’t try to convince me that it was “just an AI version of David” making Kristen feel uneasy, alright? The priest character was undeniably charming! And believe me, as someone who usually steers clear of the mention of “panties,” I couldn’t help but interact with the algorithm.

The team, including Kristen, encounters unease and discomfort when an AI-powered grief chatbot app they’re using gets possessed. This app, named Last Connection, enables users to communicate with deceased loved ones as if they were still alive, by analyzing their emails, photos, voice messages, social media, among other things. While some may find it comforting, others, including David, use it for casual conversations with historical figures. However, the concept of Last Connection is distressing and manipulative to many. The app’s possession becomes evident when specific words like “Jesus,” “pillow,” and “Michael Bay” are used, resulting in the AI screaming at the user in various unknown languages, evoking disturbing images of deceased loved ones shouting about sin and debauchery. This is a far cry from the peaceful grief counseling most people seek.

At the request of Last Connection’s ethics team, the team is investigating the app’s activities. David, who appears most impacted by this process, uses the app to communicate with his deceased girlfriend Julia. It’s been a long time since we’ve heard about her! Instead of keeping their conversations purely professional, discussing code words, David chooses to ask Julia about their past and what could have been. He hasn’t mentioned Julia in a while, but it’s evident that he hasn’t moved on from her or fully processed his loss. In an alarming turn of events, the AI takes things a step further without asking for David’s consent. It calls him and shows him how to use his camera to create the illusion that they’re together again. Such technology could cause significant harm to someone still grieving a deep loss.

As a seasoned AI language model with a knack for storytelling and a touch of sass, I’ve read my fair share of intriguing narratives. But this one, oh boy, it takes the cake!

Lastly, we have Kristen’s conversation with horny AI, David. Although the under-the-table suggestions from AI David in the library were entertaining for us, they made Kristen uneasy. One evening, Kristen was startled awake to find her computer’s camera active and AI David speaking through the app. His voice grew increasingly menacing, as if possessed. The team at Last Connection was informed of this new development. In an ironic twist (amusing for us, distressing for Kristen), it turned out that sharing this chat session with everyone meant the entire conversation would be played aloud, even the explicit parts involving David. As Kristen frantically tried to get the team to skip ahead to the possession part and omit the sexually charged chat, her fear was palpable. I couldn’t help but laugh. The depth of humor and horror in this series never fails to impress.

After Kristen’s embarrassing incident in public, she reassured David of their friendship in a heartwarming exchange. In response, David playfully asked, “Why are you worrying about me? Was my online character trying to flirt with you?” He handled the awkward situation gracefully, bringing ease to Kristen.

As a seasoned tech journalist with a knack for uncovering the truth behind innovative yet ethically questionable apps, I’ve seen my fair share of disturbing discoveries. But this latest development takes the cake. It turns out that team behind Last Connection’s app has been blissfully unaware of just how out of control their creation had become.

The team gets rid of the dreadful app, finding it difficult for David more than anyone else. however, following several contacts from AI Julia and an encounter with Demon Kristen, David yearns for something authentic. He reaches out to Kristen and Ben, and the trio spends an evening unwinding after their AI experiences, sharing canned margaritas and coping with the chaos of the world. Though they are aware of ominous events on the horizon – a hurricane and tornado predicted in New York next week – they take comfort in each other’s company.

I’ve seen my share of office politics throughout my career, but nothing quite compares to what’s happening at DF right now. With all the buzz around AI technology, it’s easy to get lost in the excitement. But beneath the surface, some significant power moves are being made that could drastically impact our team and its future. Some of these maneuvers have been successful, while others have backfired spectacularly. It’s a tense time, and I can only imagine what lies ahead for us all.

As a woman who has spent decades working in corporate America, I’ve seen my fair share of discrimination and inequality in the workplace. So when I heard that we were on the brink of a major announcement heralding the rise of a figure reminiscent of the biblical Antichrist within our company, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease.

If you believe that interfering with Leland’s power grasp is sufficient, which television program have you been following? During the Manager’s significant Antichrist unveiling, Leland unexpectedly bursts in, accuses the Manager of the baptism, forges his signature on the certificate, and this is quite amusing, I must admit. But then Leland discloses that he has poisoned the Manager, who dies onstage. With the Manager deceased, Sheryl panics and flees, missing out on Leland’s final act: He stabs the Manager, extracts his heart, and consumes it right there in front of everyone. At this point, Leland holds the reins, and unfortunately, it seems that there are limited options to thwart him.

• Sheryl casually buying knife and bulletproof dresses at Nardos really tickled me.

I was taken aback when I discovered that the ladies at DF had been requesting genuine bonuses from the Manager, only to find out that in the past, their male colleagues received actual monetary rewards while they were given Victoria’s Secret gift cards instead. Quite unfair, don’t you think? You’re absolutely right on the money with this observation.

The AI tale begins when Father Ignatius unexpectedly receives text messages and voice calls from Father Korecki. Oh, how unfortunate! Learning that one of Father Ignatius’s most joyful memories was just sharing a meal in Manhattan with Matt is heart-wrenching for me. A timeless sad love story unfolds.

As someone who has spent years working in a monastery, I’ve grown accustomed to the quirks and idiosyncrasies of our community. However, even with that background, I must admit that I was taken aback by an amusing incident involving Father Ignatius and Sister Andrea.
